Design Reviewer (Electrical)
About The Position
The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Public Buildings Division, Architecture & Engineering Unit seeks a Design Reviewer (Electrical). The duties for this position will include, but are not limited to, project scoping, design and/or review of consultant drawings and specifications (utilizing Blue-Beam), site inspection and reports, ad hoc technical investigations; in-house design (utilizing AutoCAD) and providing technical expertise and support services for client-agency projects. The candidate will also interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and technical staff.
Requirements
- Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.)
- Present original documents proving citizenship or the legal right to work in the U.S.
- Educational credentials must be from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accredited institution
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
- Seven years of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical estimating work on construction projects
- OR Education and/or experience equivalent to the above
- Up to four years of acceptable experience can be substituted by 30 credits leading to a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
- Full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering will be credited on a year for year basis up to a maximum of five years of acceptable experience
- All candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical estimating work on construction projects
