About The Position

General Motors is hiring a Design Release Engineer responsible for leading a cross-functional team through the design, analysis, development, validation, and production implementation of internal combustion engine boosting and exhaust systems. The role works with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, suppliers, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and other stakeholders to deliver system designs that meet program performance and timing requirements and follow engineering best practices. The position is hybrid and based at the Warren Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. The selected candidate is expected to work onsite at least three times per week, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday preferred. Domestic and international travel is expected; the description specifies 5–10% in the responsibilities and less than 25% elsewhere. The role is not eligible for relocation benefits, and GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship.
