About The Position

EDAG is hiring a Lighting Design & Release Engineer to lead the engineering development and release of automotive lighting components, including headlamps, rear lamps, and auxiliary lamps. The role translates system and vehicle requirements into component specifications, interfaces, and design deliverables, and coordinates concept development, design maturation, supplier deliverables, tooling, and production release. The engineer manages the integration of optical, mechanical, electrical, thermal, sealing, and styling requirements; develops and maintains DFMEAs; and supports validation planning and issue resolution. The role also coordinates applicable testing and verification, supports vehicle builds, design reviews, regulatory-compliance activities, and production launch, and maintains product data and engineering release information in 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX). The position is a six-month contract located in Dearborn, Michigan, or Long Beach, California.
