As a Design Professional III, you’ll serve as a trusted degreed, non-licensed architecture professional, responsible for performing a variety of assignments requiring advanced skills across all conventional areas of practice with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
• 5-15 years of experience, preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Expert knowledge of Revit and CAD software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical and professional skills
• Must be able to perform work-related travel and have a valid driver’s license
• Must be local to GMC office

Responsibilities

• Utilize an expert understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software, including Revit, along with established techniques, standards, and tools to support the preparation of technical drawings.
• Transform and develop initial rough preliminary designs into working documents utilizing Revit and or CAD software.
• Review drawings and documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
• Coordinate and consult with clients and team members to complete projects on time. Maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department.
• Lead the development of client presentations and visual materials.
• Apply standard methods to routine tasks with an advanced understanding of professional judgment and ethical responsibilities.
• Conduct code and product research, prepare as-built drawings, and support permit applications and project documentation.
• Prepare meeting agendas, document notes, and respond to contractor RFIs.
• Review shop drawings for compliance and conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
• Coordinate and delegate work of team members.
• Collaborate with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final working drawings
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project planning, meetings, schedules, and deadlines.
• Collaborate across disciplines and office locations to leverage the firm’s collective expertise.
• Prepare to take the exam for architectural licensure or advancing skill and experience without a priority of achieving licensure.
• Gain strong understanding of building details and construction document development.
