About The Position
Gentex Corporation is currently seeking an Industrial Design intern for the Fall 2026. Our internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment. The design Intern will focus on assisting full time designers to create 3D models and physical prototypes.
Requirements
- Working towards BS in Industrial Design
- Experience with Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Solidworks proficiency
- Sketching skills
- Prototype creation experience
- Strong hand and digital sketching skills
- Ability to clearly communicate design concepts to the team
- Familiarity with a Model shop
- Capability to safely use powered and non-powered shop tools to create prototypes
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Industrial Design program
