The Design Manager will coordinate with Sales and Construction Operations to review scope sheets, verify schedules, and ensure design requirements are met. This role involves managing a team of designers, providing leadership, training, and mentoring. The Design Manager is responsible for quality management throughout the construction design process, ensuring all required plans and CAD files are provided, and scheduling pre-design meetings. They will also communicate project status to stakeholders, perform site surveys, ensure safety procedures are followed, and conduct quality checks on drawings. Additionally, the Design Manager will manage the team's workload, oversee subcontract designers, build relationships with customers and internal teams, and approve all drawings and resubmittals. This role requires knowledge of local codes and AHJ requirements, managing commitment dates, assisting with recruitment, reviewing timesheets, and ensuring project changes are communicated. The Design Manager will also recommend improvements to business practices and perform other duties as assigned.
