About The Position

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking an experienced Design Manager – A/E Services to support the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Facilities Services Division. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architecture, engineering, or facilities design professional with a strong background managing the planning, design, and coordination of complex capital improvement projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized college or university.
Minimum 8 years of full-time professional experience managing facilities design or planning and coordinating capital projects.
Experience must include responsibilities involving design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling.
At least 4 years of experience must involve the design, planning, and construction of educational facilities or similar public-agency projects.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the design process to ensure projects meet program, budget, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Manage multiple projects, including engineering repair and critical repair projects, while coordinating with architects, consultants, engineers, and District personnel.
Oversee the building design process and ensure compliance with applicable District standards and guidelines.
Provide architects and design teams with clear direction regarding project goals, scope, standards, schedule, site requirements, and budget.
Coordinate and facilitate design reviews to ensure projects meet overall objectives.
Review proposed design changes and monitor their impact on project budgets and requirements.
Monitor project planning and design progress and provide updates, recommendations, and reports to project stakeholders.
Support the evaluation and selection of architectural firms based on qualifications and performance requirements.
