We believe great design isn’t decoration—it’s how families feel us before they ever meet us. The Role We’re looking for a Design Lead to elevate and unify how Golden Steps shows up across every touchpoint—from digital to physical, from parent-facing to clinician recruiting. This person will own the visual identity, push creative standards higher, and build a design function that scales with our growth. You’ll partner closely with marketing, operations, recruiting, and leadership to bring our brand to life in a way that feels human, hopeful, and unmistakably Golden Steps.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in brand/design (agency or in-house).
  • A portfolio that shows range + taste (brand systems, campaigns, digital).
  • Strong understanding of performance-driven creative (not just pretty design).
  • Experience building or evolving a brand across multiple channels.
  • Ability to balance speed + quality in a high-growth environment.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally (marketing, ops, recruiting, clinical teams).
  • A bias for action—you don’t wait, you create.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, multi-location, or mission-driven brand experience.
  • Experience with video, motion, or environmental design.
  • Experience scaling a design function from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Brand: Define, evolve, and protect the Golden Steps visual identity. Ensure consistency across web, social, print, clinics, and internal materials. Build and maintain a scalable design system and asset library.
  • Lead Creative Execution: Concept and execute campaigns (digital, social, email, events, recruiting). Translate strategy into compelling, high-performing creative. Raise the bar on everything from ads to clinic signage.
  • Design for Growth: Optimize creative for performance (conversion, engagement, recruitment). Partner with growth and analytics teams to test and iterate. Bring a strong POV on what “good” looks like—and push for better.
  • Build & Lead: Manage freelancers and/or internal designers as we scale. Establish workflows, feedback loops, and creative processes. Be the go-to creative partner across the organization. Create review process
  • Bring the Brand to Life IRL: Shape in-clinic environments to feel warm, playful, and premium. Support events, video shoots, and brand moments that families remember.
