Main purpose of the Design Intern role: To partner with an aspiring designer who is eager to learn about the design process and gain industry experience. Requirements
- Passion to learn about the design process from conception to production
- Receptive to feedback and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite (photoshop, illustrator)
- Knowledge of basic apparel construction
Nice To Haves
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree as a current Design Student at a fashion design school
- Sketching proficiency on procreate or Photoshop
Responsibilities
- Assist with market research of competitors for inspiration and product opportunities.
- Research fabrics, finishes, and styling details for review by the Designer.
- Assist with design updates (sketches, line guides, PLM, buyer note updates)
- Attend fittings for all categories and take notes. Follow up with cross functional teams where needed
- Assist with fabric and trim approvals/organization
- Conduct market research where applicable for the brand
