About The Position

The Design Engineering Intern will participate in AGCO’s Engineering Internship Program, gaining hands-on experience alongside engineering professionals in the development of agricultural equipment. The intern will contribute to product design, development, and continuous improvement projects, helping create solutions that support farmers’ productivity and success. This is an onsite Summer 2027 internship based in Beloit, Kansas. The intern will take ownership of an engineering project and present results at the conclusion of the internship.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related engineering or technology field.
• Expected to continue enrollment after the Summer 2027 internship.
• Willingness to learn in a hands-on engineering environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
• Professional mindset and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD or 3D modeling software such as Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an engineering project and present results at the conclusion of the internship.
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and cross-functional partners to solve product design challenges.
• Support the design and development of agricultural equipment components and systems.
• Create and revise 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and product documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve product performance, quality, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Assist with engineering analysis, prototype evaluation, and validation activities.
• Research design concepts and support continuous improvement initiatives.
