The Design Engineering Coordinator will play a key part in improving the overall efficiency and visibility of the design workflow.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and active projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow established processes and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail, especially when handling project documents, submittals, and status tracking.
Ability to work effectively with designers, sales team members, project managers, technicians, and customers.
Comfortable using project management software, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and file storage systems.
Ability to follow up consistently and professionally on open items.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Procore is a plus.
Basic understanding of construction, permitting, fire alarm, fire suppression, or design processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinating internal communication between design, sales, and operations.
Maintaining design project tracking information and helping ensure project milestones are current.
Assisting with design documentation, permit packages, submittal packages, revised drawings, and approval tracking.
Following up on missing information required to complete design work.
Supporting the Fire Alarm & Suppression Design Manager with workload tracking, reporting, meeting preparation, and process follow-up.
Ensuring design files, records, and supporting documentation are properly stored and maintained.
Helping improve consistency, accountability, and visibility across the fire alarm and suppression design process.
