About The Position

Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production. This role involves creating 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and technical documentation. The Design Engineer will analyze designs and develop/test prototypes for fabricated structural assemblies. Collaboration with marketing and customer teams is key to translating user needs into product specifications. The position also emphasizes Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Automation, Design for Assembly (DFA), and Packaging principles. Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate materials, processes, and tooling options is also a core responsibility. The role includes participating in design reviews, contributing to continuous product and process improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., NHTSA). Managing engineering change orders (ECO), bill of materials (BOM), and product lifecycle documentation (ECN) are also part of the duties.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong grasp of principles in Structural Analysis
• Basic understanding of electrical systems
• Minimum of one year work experience

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years performing and analyzing FEA Structural analysis
• 3+ Years in a mechanical design position or related field
