The role We want you to be extraordinary at raising the standard of everything a customer touches. At Build, product means anything that reaches a customer: website, marketing pages, sales collateral, demos, customer portals, workflow interfaces, dashboards, reports, exports, emails and the smallest details inside our delivered work. This role exists to make all of it excellent. You should be unreasonable about quality. Allergic to anything average, confusing or unfinished, while still moving fast and shipping. You should be able to design and build, with strong frontend craft, real taste and ownership across the full customer experience. You'll own customer-facing surfaces end to end, work closely with James SE, and help define what great design and craft look like at an AI-native company in the built world.

Requirements

Can both design and build, with strong frontend craft and the taste to back it
Track record of shipping high-quality customer-facing surfaces, product or web
Unreasonable about quality and allergic to anything average, confusing or unfinished
Move fast and ship; high standards do not make you slow
Own outcomes end to end and care about the details others skip
Energised by ambiguity and want to set the design bar at an AI-native company
Care about AI, software and the future of the built world

Nice To Haves

Experience designing for complex or technical products, especially AI or data-heavy interfaces
Experience building marketing sites or microsites that performed on their own merit
Experience as a founder, early designer or early engineer at a high-growth startup
An eye for brand, not just product UX

Responsibilities

Design and build customer-facing surfaces end to end: website, marketing pages, demos, portals, workflow interfaces, dashboards and the details inside delivered work
Hold a single, high design standard across everything so Build looks, feels and works like one company
Turn complex AI capability into clear, credible interfaces that institutions can understand, evaluate and trust
Ship the most important surfaces personally: first-time user experience, core decision paths and flagship demos
Build microsites and pages strong enough to travel on their own merit
Partner with product and engineering to decide what gets built and in what order, based on user leverage and customer impact
Spend time with customers to understand how decisions get made, approved and defended in real projects
Treat the small details as part of the product: an export, an email, an empty state, a loading screen
Be uncompromising on quality. If it confuses customers or weakens trust, it does not ship
