Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Oakland, CA. Our ideal candidate has experience with civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including stormwater drainage programs and AutoCAD. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Familiar with AutoCAD
• Familiarity and understanding of rough and finish grading plans.
• Knowledge of utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.
• Design of utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain.
• Assist with fire flow tests.
• Interact with other members of a design team including Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers.
• Engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, answering Requests for Information (RFIs), site observations among other things.
• Conduct engineering assessments.
• Prepare technical engineering reports.
• Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies.
