Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
- Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience in steel construction
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively, written and verbal
- Ability to work from Dallas Vulcraft sales office and travel regularly to the Grapeland plant

Responsibilities
- Perform design work in accordance with industry standards and Vulcraft manufacturing processes.
- Review contract documents, including structural drawings, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
- Prepare, review, and support joist design calculations, including projects requiring sealed calculations as appropriate.
- Provide direction and technical support to detailers, shop orders, sales teammates, and production teammates during project design and development.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including other design professionals, while maintaining timely response to project and production needs.
- Complete an initial plant immersion at Vulcraft Texas in Grapeland and participate in regular plant visits for production observation, training, and collaborative design reviews.
- Promote Vulcraft products to specifiers and at conventions.
