Design Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Design Engineer with relevant Municipal or Private/Land Development experience to join our team in our Hamilton, NJ office.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT certification preferred
- 4-5 years of experience in Municipal and Private/Land Development engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare or assist with the design of site grading, drainage, utilities, soil erosion/sediment control measures, and stormwater management systems
- Prepare or assist with the preparation of NJDEP and other agency permit applications related to wetlands, flood hazard areas and stormwater management
- Knowledge of local Municipal Land Use Ordinances to be used to assist with the review of site plans, subdivision plans, plot plans and stormwater management plans
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D design tools to prepare engineering designs and calculations
- Prepare engineering reports to support various design elements of projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare construction cost estimates
- Prepare or assist with the preparations of specifications for public bidding based upon the NJ Local Public Contracts Law and the NJ Local Public Schools Contract Law
- Engage in regular communication with project managers and other team members in regard to the status and progress of assigned tasks
