Requirements

At least five years of CAD engineering or design engineering experience
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Experience with SolidWorks, 3D models, production drawings, and Bills of Materials
Proficiency in SolidWorks with the ability to create detailed 3D models, production drawings, and Bills of Materials independently.
Ability to approach engineering challenges with attention to detail, sound judgment, and a practical mindset while working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Design custom 3D models and detailed 2D production drawings in SolidWorks for commercial, industrial, and agricultural steel fabrication projects.
Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation to support efficient manufacturing and assembly.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to develop practical, manufacturable designs that balance quality, functionality, and cost.
Analyze design concepts, troubleshoot engineering challenges, and recommend improvements that enhance production efficiency and product performance.
Mentor teammates by sharing SolidWorks knowledge, providing training, and helping others strengthen their CAD design skills.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve products and engineering processes continuously.
Partner with manufacturing personnel to resolve design-related issues and ensure projects move smoothly from engineering to production.
Stay current on SolidWorks advancements, engineering best practices, and manufacturing technologies to continually improve capabilities.
