About The Position

This is an entry-level Design Engineer role supporting the design and development of mechanical products in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The Design Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers and manufacturing teams to support product design, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 1+ year of engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op experience
• Basic proficiency with CAD and engineering design software
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred
• Experience related to heavy equipment or similar manufacturing industries is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of mechanical components and systems
• Assist senior engineers with product design, testing, and technical documentation
• Create and update engineering drawings and design documentation
• Provide design clarification and revisions to manufacturing teams
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
• Assist with engineering change requests and design revisions
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standards
