About The Position
API Heat Transfer is seeking talented Design Engineers to join their premier, global engineering team. This role involves supporting strategic and ongoing customer engagements by providing designs, calculations, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for both conventional and complex product initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge technology in the heat transfer industry and impact customers across multiple industries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET)
- Proficiency in Solidworks
- Collaborative, analytical, and solution focused
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment desired
- Experience in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel design a plus
- Specializing in Heat Exchangers preferred
Responsibilities
- Use ASME code calculations to fulfill complex customer specifications, as well as develop calculation tools for applications where calculation tools do not exist
- Prepare simple and complex layouts for components and subassemblies with focus on designing for cost and manufacturability
- Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, application engineering, and sales to deliver customer projects
- Support the team with validating each other’s output, analysis of results, and other efforts to produce world-class products
- Contribute to setting project team priorities and provide technical leadership
- Collaborate with internal teams to construct project scope and determine costs and manufacturing feasibility
