About The Position

The Design Engineer prepares and oversees accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for customers. The role works with project teams to troubleshoot structural design concerns, supports customer relationships to help procure projects and reduce risk, and contributes to safety by identifying hazards during design planning and ensuring formwork systems meet construction and safety standards. The position may also involve special projects and other duties assigned in support of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 0–2 years of experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design using formwork engineering methods.
• Knowledge of construction formwork systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, with thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, and vendors.
• Advanced PC skills in a Windows environment, including collecting and analyzing data in Excel and creating documents and correspondence in Outlook and Word.
• Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
• EIT License.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM Modeling.
