About The Position

In the assigned role of Engineering Consultant 2, the Design Engineer supports engineering design and delivery for aircraft fuselage and propulsion structure components. The role involves eliciting and documenting business and technical requirements; developing design concepts, sketches, models, specifications, and prototypes; and participating in iterative design, validation, simulation, and integration activities. The engineer incorporates testing results and cross-functional feedback, resolves interoperability issues, and maintains technical documentation. The position includes designing components with attention to tolerance stack-up, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and customer and regulatory requirements. The engineer collaborates with stakeholders, presents solutions and design reviews, and works to meet agreed schedules by releasing parts. Infosys Engineering describes its work as using data-first engineering and value-stream management, including AI, ML, and predictive analytics, to improve delivery and time to market. Relocation and/or travel to the work or project location may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys states it cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
