About The Position

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Junior Level Design Engineer to join our team. This position will support our growing Lunar Lander Team. The applicant will be located on-site in Houston, TX. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight, and ground support hardware, such as Lunar Lander Structure and secondary systems.

Requirements

B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline and minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design or related discipline; or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience
Experience with CAD software, Creo or Solidworks
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and related standards
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Effective verbal and written communication
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

Skilled (3-5 yrs) in the use of Solidworks and/or Creo
Understanding of design methodology, basics of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and manufacturing techniques
Experience with carbon fiber or carbon fiber sandwich panels preferred
Familiarity or exposure to NASA and Mil Spec standards
