About The Position
A Design Engineer II performs engineering design on a variety of tasks with ongoing supervision and works closely with senior engineers for technical guidance on assignments that are unfamiliar. The role focuses on electric distribution design and constructability, reviewing designs and ensuring design packages meet client expectations. The engineer regularly meets with clients and construction crews to review design scope and discuss project execution, and contributes technical leadership and continuous improvement to team knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- 1–2 years of electrical distribution design experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design on a variety of engineering tasks with ongoing supervision.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in distribution design and constructability.
- Review designs and ensure design packages meet client expectations.
- Meet with clients and construction crews to review design scope and discuss project execution.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to continual improvement of team knowledge.
- Work with senior engineers to receive technical guidance on unfamiliar assignments.
