About The Position
Sayres is seeking a Design Engineer II with the ability to obtain a secret clearance in Philadelphia, PA. This role is part of a significant engineering and technical support effort for the Navy's propulsion, power generation, and ship systems testing infrastructure at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The contract supports critical land-based test facilities before technologies are installed aboard ships. This position supports engineering design activities for mechanical, structural, electrical, and fluid systems under senior engineer guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Design.
- Minimum 3 years of engineering design experience.
- Minimum 1 year applying engineering standards and codes.
- CAD proficiency required.
- Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain
Responsibilities
- Create and modify engineering drawings and models.
- Support engineering calculations and design analyses.
- Apply applicable engineering standards and codes.
- Assist with design reviews and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to support design execution.
