About The Position

The New Product Development Engineer serves as the technical owner for products transitioning from development into manufacturing and customer deployment. The role supports NPI programs, manages product execution throughout the product lifecycle, and acts as a primary customer-facing technical resource for field issues, product escalations, and early-life production support. The engineer supports products from design release through prototype, qualification, and production implementation; helps ensure manufacturing follows engineering intent and customer requirements; investigates product and process issues; and coordinates engineering changes and documentation updates. The role works with design engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, account managers, and customer teams to resolve issues and improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability. The position is based in Hayward, California, in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required for training, customer visits, product launches, troubleshooting, qualification, or escalations. Travel is expected to be limited and dependent on business needs. The role may involve moderate manufacturing noise and exposure to materials such as silicones, fiberglass, and epoxies. Work may require infrequent lifting of 10–20 pounds, extended computer use, and frequent interaction with manufacturing operations and production personnel.
