About The Position

The New Product Development Engineer serves as the technical owner for products transitioning from development into manufacturing and customer deployment. The role supports new product introduction (NPI) programs, manages product execution throughout the product lifecycle, and acts as the primary customer-facing technical resource for field issues, product escalations, and early-life production support. The engineer supports products from design release through prototype, qualification, and production implementation, while helping ensure products are manufactured according to engineering intent and customer requirements. The position works cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to resolve technical and production issues, improve product quality and manufacturability, support product transfers, and maintain manufacturing readiness. It also provides engineering support for existing product lines while assisting with new product development. Customer support includes troubleshooting on customer tools remotely or on site, communicating findings and corrective actions, tracking field issues through resolution, and representing customer needs within the organization. The role is based in Hayward, California, and operates in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required for training, customer visits, product launches, troubleshooting, qualification, or customer escalations. Travel is expected to be limited and dependent on business needs. The position may involve moderate manufacturing noise and exposure to materials such as silicones, fiberglass, and epoxies. Work may require infrequent lifting of 10–20 pounds, extended computer use, and frequent interaction with manufacturing and production personnel.
