About The Position

Ultra Clean Technology (UCT) is seeking a Design Engineer II to support the design, development, and implementation of custom temperature-sensing solutions for semiconductor and advanced manufacturing applications. The role focuses on temperature measurement products and assemblies, including thermocouples and other sensing technologies used in gas and liquid delivery systems. Under the guidance of senior engineering staff, the engineer contributes to product development, documentation, testing, and manufacturing support. The position is intended to develop technical expertise in temperature-sensing products and semiconductor applications. As experience grows, the engineer will take on increasing responsibility for product design, customer support, testing, and project ownership, with the opportunity to develop toward a senior engineering role. The role is based in Hayward, California, in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required for training, customer visits, or engineering support, depending on business needs. The position may involve occasional manufacturing-floor support and exposure to moderate equipment noise and production materials such as silicones, fiberglass, and epoxies. The expected pay range at commencement is $74,900 to $120,000 per year; actual base pay may vary based on factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include variable pay, discretionary awards, and benefits.
