About The Position

This role is for a Design Engineer I who will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing product designs under guidance. The engineer will also provide production support to machining and assembly operations. Key tasks include analyzing engineering sketches, specifications, and drawings to determine design factors, preparing sketches, layouts, and basic calculations, and supporting the development of product designs and engineering documentation. The position also involves performing other related duties as assigned. This role primarily operates in an office and manufacturing environment and may involve collaboration with production teams.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of engineering and design concepts
• Familiarity with engineering design software
• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude
• 0 to two (2) years of relevant engineering or design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test product designs under guidance
• Provide production support to machining and assembly operations
• Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of components
• Prepare sketches, layouts, and basic calculations including angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, and clearances
• Support development of product designs and engineering documentation
• Perform other related duties as assigned
