About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Design Engineer Associate in Crane, IN. This role involves performing Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering. The associate will assist in developing test routines for specific systems (AN/USM-676 Pinpoint IIR and AN/USM-726(V) Huntron Tracker Model 32). They will use schematics, diagrams, and layouts to aid technicians in troubleshooting failed circuit card assemblies (CCA) down to the component level and will design test fixtures to enhance the troubleshooting process. The position requires regular communication with technicians and other engineers, and involves tasks such as requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, and system & operational performance analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to diagnose and maintain both the Pinpoint and Huntron Systems.
  • Ability to work with little supervision on assigned tasking.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with engineers and technicians.
  • Ability to work in a lab environment for entire shift.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Can start once interim clearance is granted.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development of test routines for the AN/USM-676 Pinpoint IIR and AN/USM-726(V) Huntron Tracker Model 32.
