About The Position

The Design Engineer 2 provides software and hardware test support for retrofit and aftermarket technology kit projects, working with team leads and other engineers to complete daily tasks. Typical work includes harness design and assembly, electrical hardware integration and fabrication, test equipment setup, software regression testing, building demo kits, and test-track or field support.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
• Hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly skills.
• Software regression testing experience.
• Machine operating experience in commercial, industrial, agricultural, or similar settings.
• Experience creating software test plans.
• Ability to present technical problems and solutions.
• Camera/detect technology development or validation experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide software and hardware test support for retrofit and aftermarket technology kit projects.
• Work with team leads and other engineers to complete daily tasks.
• Design and assemble harnesses.
• Integrate and fabricate electrical hardware.
• Set up test equipment.
• Perform software regression testing.
• Build demo kits.
• Provide test-track and field support.
