About The Position

We are seeking detail-oriented Design Coordinators to support design projects in short, focused intervals. This role is not responsible for managing projects end-to-end; instead, you will step in during key stages to set up project files, review work for content and design accuracy, and provide actionable design feedback based on the creative brief and oversee edits/changes as directed. You will collaborate closely with Designers and Client Services Managers (CSMs) to keep creative moving through the workflow. This role requires strong organization, excellent communication, a good design eye, and confidence in giving constructive feedback, not just moving files from point A to point B.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in design coordination or creative operations preferred
  • Ability to evaluate design files and provide constructive, objective feedback
  • Familiarity with design terminology, file types (AI, INDD, PDF), and basic print/digital specs
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to jump between multiple projects
  • Strong proofreading skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Clear communicator, comfortable nudging designers or CSMs when something is missing or delayed
  • Applicants must reside in California.

Responsibilities

  • Review creative briefs, gather required assets, and set up organized project folders for designers.
  • Review in-progress design files to ensure they reflect the brief and required specifications.
  • Provide clear design direction and feedback to designers. No layout or production work required.
  • Proofread copy, check versioning, verify naming conventions, and ensure all required elements are included.
  • Input projects into Airtable, update status fields, and ensure records stay accurate.
  • Notify the Client Services Manager when a deliverable is ready for next steps.
