About The Position

HDR’s Design Coordinator is responsible for work in all phases of the architectural process. Duties include: evaluating, selecting and applying standard architectural techniques, procedures and modifications to architectural construction documents; performing assignments with specific objectives, requiring investigation of a limited set of variables; demonstrating knowledge of procedures for production of design development and construction documents, and knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing; independently performing architectural assignments with only general instruction from the Project Architect, Designer, or Project Manager regarding the expected results; developing, leading, and managing building information models and processes, including coordination with other disciplines; preparing detailed drawings, layouts, sketches, and graphic representations of architecture designs by hand or using computer-aided design software; contributing to the development of specifications covering architectural matters and assisting with code analysis/reviews; and assisting Project Architects, other Architectural Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Architecture and 1 year of experience in architecture; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and 3 years of experience in architecture.
  • Experience in Autodesk Revit and related tools and processes
  • Experience in AutoCAD
  • Experience in Rhino
  • Experience in SketchUp
  • Experience in Enscape
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in Bluebeam
  • Experience in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities
