About The Position

The ALDO Group, a worldwide leader in fashion footwear and accessories, is looking for a talented Design Coordinator. As a Design Coordinator, you will be working with the design and product development teams to assist them in all aspects of the design process, from conception through to development. The ALDO Group specializes in stylish and accessible footwear, handbags, and accessories, with over 1,500 stores in more than 100 countries. They operate under two signature brands, ALDO and Call It Spring, and are the core footwear partner for Sperry in North America. The ALDO Group is also an industry-recognized wholesale licensed partner, specializing in the design, sourcing, and distribution of fashion footwear, handbags, and accessories. Their diverse portfolio includes household brands such as ROXY, Brooks Brothers, Ted Baker, Hunter, and G.H.BASS. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Design is preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience in design or strong internship equivalent
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Hand sketching ability, including flat sketching
• Thorough understanding of the design & development process from inception to production
• Must have strong organization and communication skills
• Must have a great attitude, be a team player and have a passion for design

Responsibilities

• Support Product development team with CADs and mockups as well as any in house design tasks
• Partner with design team to execute seasonal design concepts from conception to prototype phase. This will include designing and creating technical specification packages
• Research, gather and analyze trends for team meetings
• Create sourcing packages for overseas vendors including materials/trims/hardware and details
• Organize and update presentation boards and assist in preparation for meetings
• Responsible for daily correspondence with overseas vendors
