Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with BuilderTrend.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary customer-facing design liaison after a customer signs, leading handoff meetings and outlining the design process, schedule, and next steps.
  • Guide homeowners through interior and exterior finish selections for build-ready projects and create custom design packages for fully custom builds.
  • Maintain proactive, at-minimum-weekly communication with active customers, increasing frequency during high-touch periods like onboarding and survey scheduling.
  • Set clear decision deadlines, send timely reminders, and communicate risks associated with delayed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a customer-facing visual design presentation and an internal Design Coordination Summary (FFE) spreadsheet detailing selections and technical specifications for Production.
  • Create itemized material order carts (e.g., Build.com/Ferguson, Wayfair) with correct model numbers and finishes, and transition them to Project Management.
  • Lead weekly check-ins with Project Management and conduct mid-week alignment meetings with the broader PM team to ensure a smooth design-to-production handoff.
  • Coordinate directly with survey consultants, electrical consultants, plumbing consultants, cabinet vendors, and other suppliers regarding timelines, quotes, and specifications.
  • Own and continuously improve tools that enable role scalability, including reusable templates, email workflows, and the Acton Selections Finish Catalog.
  • Propose and implement AI and new technologies to enhance the speed, intelligence, and customer experience of the design-to-build process.
