About The Position

Lamont Bros. is seeking a Design Consultant to help homeowners create exceptional living spaces through thoughtful design and disciplined execution. This role involves guiding clients from their initial conversation through a signed Construction Agreement, focusing on building trust, leading meaningful discussions, and ensuring clients confidently invest in exceptional design. The position is consultative and performance-based, where success is directly tied to the value created for clients. The Design Consultant will discover client needs, help them envision possibilities, align their goals with a realistic investment, and guide them through the design-build process.

Requirements

• Some experience in residential design or remodel is required.
• Ability to build long-term relationships based on trust.
• Comfort with meaningful conversations and complex decisions.
• Appreciation for thoughtful design, architecture, and craftsmanship.
• Confidence to guide clients.
• Ownership of outcomes and enjoyment of being rewarded for performance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple clients and projects.

Responsibilities

• Discover client goals, lifestyle, motivations, and vision while building trust to secure a Design Retainer.
• Help clients imagine improved living spaces, gain approval for a compelling Design Vision, and continue investing in the design process.
• Maintain alignment between the client's vision, scope, investment, and expectations throughout the design phase, ensuring accurate Construction Agreements with minimal surprises.
• Coordinate clients, designers, project managers, and consultants to move projects efficiently from discovery to construction.
• Create exceptional client experiences that lead to referrals, enhance Lamont Bros.' reputation, and contribute to an inspiring project portfolio.
