About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Mid-Level Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team in Hazelwood, Missouri. A successful candidate will support Integrated Diagnostics Team activities focusing primarily on Built-In Test (BIT) for radar and other avionics systems. This includes requirements definition, qualification, authoring test plans, test procedure development, supporting/conducting testing, authoring test reports, developing Statements of Compliance to requirements, and potentially Control Account Management (CAM) activities. The candidate will also provide post-implementation support as the systems are fielded by our international customers. This position requires a proactive individual to participate on a multi-disciplined team supporting multiple avionic systems, which will provide the expertise necessary to specify the requirements and analysis of new and modified avionic systems for supportability, Built-In-Test (BIT) effectiveness, and testability attributes. Knowledge and application of diagnostic design and support requirements and Customer/Supplier design specifications is required for the Subsystem, avionic box, and circuit card levels. Evaluate proposals, BIT analysis, and design-for-testability analysis. Participate in build-to/buy-to bid packages, supplier coordination of design and data issues and customer interface/coordination. Prepare formal data item and delivery. Perform Earned Value Management/Control Account Management activities. Integrated Product Development (IPD) team involvement. Develop and maintain fault reporting/isolating rules and logic for post-flight processing, supporting field queries regarding faults reported, fault reporting logic, and fault trend observation and/or general post-flight fault processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 1+ years’ experience with electrical/electronic circuit design and/or analysis experience.
  • Experience with radar, radios, weapons or avionic systems.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
  • Control Account Manager and Earned Value Management experience.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Model Based Engineering experience.
  • Fighter aircraft interface experience.
  • Familiarity with sophisticated Avionics Suites and Maintenance concepts.
  • Previous experience with military aircraft avionics maintenance.

Responsibilities
