About The Position

The C-17 Development Hardware team is currently looking for an Entry Level Design and Analysis Engineer to join their team in Long Beach, CA . This organization supports Boeing’s C-17 Program, the world's premier military airlift capability. At Boeing BGS, this new Design and Analysis Engineer (Electronic Sys Design & Analy) will participate in support for the entire product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, systems design, lab design/specification, integration testing, flight test, technical sub-contractor management, field support and customer interactions. In this role, you will be developing and documenting moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. This will include designing hardware, software, and interface specifications, as well as testing and validating to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Additionally, you will assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. You will solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, and lastly, research specific technology advances potential application to company business needs. You will also participate with the team that performs analysis and test for electromagnetic compatibility of aircraft avionics with new equipment. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Long Beach, CA facility. Periodic Travel (10%-20%) may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), data science, or computer engineering (must possess basic electrical and electronics/systems knowledge).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to generate and interpret test documentation (procedures and reports)
  • Must give a damn about their team, their products and their customers
  • This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electronics design and system integration.
  • Some software development experience
  • Familiarity with reading wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and operating lab equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer etc.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in electrical and/or electrical system design
