About The Position

The C-17 Development Hardware team is currently looking for a Design and Analysis Engineer to join their team in Long Beach, CA. This organization supports Boeing’s C-17 Program, the world's premier military airlift capability. We are looking for an entry level Avionics Hardware Design Engineer. This position will include support for the entire product lifecycle; including requirements analysis, systems design, lab design/specification, integration testing, flight test, technical sub-contractor management, field support and customer interactions. You will integrate and coordinate activities related to technical design across internal groups, suppliers and customers. This role is the Engineering focal for the production and field sustainment of C-17 Avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and their associated equipment. You will be responsible for meeting the overall LRU technical performance, quality cost and on-time delivery of product and services. You will be accountable for customer happiness and success within your area of responsibility. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Experience working in design, development, integration, verification, validation, and certification of hardware line replaceable units (LRUs).
  • Experience in analyzing, deriving and/or allocating requirements.
  • Engineering knowledge of software architecture and hardware configurations.
  • Experience with hardware or software requirements, design/development, analysis, integration or testing/verification activities.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Ability to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
