Dermatology NP/PA
About The Position
This is an outpatient clinic position for a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients. The NP/PA will perform procedures as permitted by state regulations, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers, and maintain accurate patient documentation. The position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication and critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage a patient workload efficiently.
Requirements
- Active Georgia licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1-year Dermatology experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) OR Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Georgia OR Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Georgia
- National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]) OR National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
- Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
- Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
