Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role is advantageous.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written for effective patient interactions.
- Ability to manage sensitive patient information with the utmost confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a medical setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting comprehensive medical histories.
- Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures, providing necessary tools and support.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection for analysis.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and support effective communication within the practice.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and skincare routines.
- Ensure examination rooms are kept clean, organized, and stocked with required medical supplies.
