About The Position

Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut is seeking a Full Time Dermatology Medical Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for recent Health Science graduates on a Pre-PA or Pre-Med track looking to gain hands-on experience in dermatology. The Medical Assistant will work alongside experienced dermatologists, expand their knowledge of skin care treatments, and provide direct patient care. The company is a privately-owned dermatology practice with 9 locations, committed to providing top medical care and patient-first service. They offer growth opportunities within the practice.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a medical office with EHR system
• Must be able to work as a professional team member while completing tasks independently
• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of strict sterile techniques or learn quickly
• Committed to consistent punctuality and reliability
• Empathetic with patient needs and concerns
• Prefers a fast-paced work environment
• Well-organized with attention to detail
• Travel between offices is required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EMA
• Dermatology experience

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients
• Updating patient information in the EMR system
• Assisting with biopsies and surgical procedures
• Transcribing for providers during exams
• Administering local anesthesia
• Educating patients on their treatment plans
• Managing prescriptions, pathology, and labs
• Assisting with cosmetic procedures
• Stocking rooms with supplies
• Sanitizing work areas
• Following through with tasks
