About The Position

The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL invites applications for an open position in the dermatologic surgery division. The successful candidate will have completed Mohs fellowship training, possess exceptional surgical expertise, and hold a strong interest in advancing academic surgical dermatology, including a commitment to resident education, and clinical, basic, and translational research. Proficiency in both simple and advanced dermatologic surgical procedures is required, including Mohs surgery for melanoma in situ, along with familiarity with immunostains such as MART1 and cytokeratin. Training, experience or interest in lasers and aesthetic procedures is not essential but would be a plus and could be accommodated. Additionally, experience in managing transplant and immunocompromised patients with complex skin cancers is essential. A commitment to helping the team advance the mission of our outstanding academic surgical practice, including the establishment of a Mohs fellowship program, will be vital. The current group of two consultant dermatologic surgeons enjoys a collegial environment, with a large group of dedicated nurses, histotechnicians, and support staff. Our service benefits from state-of-the-art facilities and enthusiastic residents who participate in dermatologic surgical rotations. We interact daily with our colleagues in medical dermatology and dermatopathology in a unified location with a shared purpose, as well as colleagues in other disciplines such as Plastic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Oncology and General Surgery.

Requirements

  • Completed Mohs fellowship training.
