About The Position

B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. This position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

Six (6) years of experience in metallurgy, mineral processing, engineering, or relevant industry experience and experience working in a remote mine site in Arctic conditions;
Journeyperson Certificate in Industrial Mechanics (Millwright) or a related trade certificate as determined by the company;
Pant operating experience with the following processes: conventional primary crushing, Leach/VIP Carousel, Zadra, thickening and gold refinery.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and availability of all mill equipment; Coordinate and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance;
Optimize spending while ensuring that maintenance activities align with production goals and regulatory requirements; Conduct regular equipment performance reviews and reliability analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains;
Ensure regular audits and assessments are done to identify surplus or obsolete items and implement appropriate disposal or recycling processes;
Implement and manage a comprehensive predictive maintenance program, utilizing advanced technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis;
Develop and implement safety training programs for maintenance personnel, focusing on hazard identification, risk mitigation, and emergency response; and
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the maintenance department.
