About The Position

We are currently searching for an experienced Deputy Quality Assurance Manager to support our Mid Atlantic Region located in Camp Hill, PA. To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program and 15 years of heavy civil construction administration and management. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
PE license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
15 years’ experience on roadway and bridge construction projects
Experience closing out roadway and bridge construction projects
Experience in managing and tracking subcontracts
PennDOT experience required
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)

Responsibilities

Responsible for performance of the quality assurance aspects of overall project construction
Technical advisor to quality assurance project team regarding project tasks and operations
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the quality management system and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate, to ensure project activities comply with relevant procedures and QA requirements
Provide regular reviews of the Quality Program and assist to modify to add value to the project throughout the life of the project.
Performs monthly audit reviews for all projects and assists with the preparation of the Monthly Quality Report.
Project Management. Provides assistance for project challenges and leads detailed project reviews. Participates in regional month-end project reviews.
Project Controls. Develops and issues documents describing standard work processes involved in project execution.
Develops and manages staff to meet business objectives. Monitors productivity of all Project Controls, QA staff members. Manages all Project Controls, Quality Improvement Committees (QIC’s) and recommends changes where desirable.
