About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Deputy Project Manager to work for our company. The client agency is the Defense Logistics Agency. This role serves as the deputy project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same system) and shall assist the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), the task order-level Task Order Managers, Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, this role is responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. The Deputy Project Manager drives strategy, oversees the architecture of continuous integration and deployment, and monitors across technologies. This role defines Scrum Agile methodology for large scale clients and serves as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment, using scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.

Requirements

  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must have Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, other recognized certification, etc.) plus five (5) years relevant experience and 5 years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
  • Must be proficient in Oracle EBS R12 or higher platform experience.
  • Experience with transforming traditional Oracle EBS on-premise and OCI environments into an Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Application environment.
  • BS or BA or four (4) additional years of related experience.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience delivering multiple Agile projects and removing blockers using the appropriate Agile project management methodology.
  • Experience in leading DevOps methodologies, implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) Methodologies, and driving automated software development lifecycle toolchain.
  • Experience with deployments in both on premise and cloud environments
  • Experience defining the roadmap with the Product Owner for any given product and translating this into user stories.
  • Experience prioritizing the user stories within product backlog.
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience with testing to ensure quality levels.
  • Experience as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment.
  • Experience with DevOps services using infrastructure as a service provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace / OpenStack).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., TFS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, LVM).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket, OpenShift)
