About The Position

CODEplus is seeking an experienced Deputy Project Manager (DPM) to serve as Key Personnel on a large, complex Federal management and technical support contract. The Deputy Project Manager works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate day-to-day contract operations, staffing, workstream integration, deliverables, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and customer support across a multidisciplinary organization. The DPM provides management continuity, supports integration across multiple functional areas, and must be capable of assuming Project Manager responsibilities when required. The position may also perform an additional management function as part of the overall staffing model.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing complex Federal Government professional, technical, administrative, or mission-support programs.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong project-management, organizational, reporting, risk-management, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting staffing, quality management, process improvement, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors or geographically or organizationally distributed personnel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Specific, measurable accomplishments demonstrating leadership, problem solving, and successful execution.
  • Experience implementing management or operational methodologies that improved program performance.
  • Active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large or complex Federal programs in highly regulated or classified environments.
  • Experience with integrated business, financial, technical, or administrative support services.
  • Experience supporting fixed-price professional-services contracts.
  • PMP, CAPM, or comparable project-management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in managing day-to-day contract performance.
  • Coordinate activities and dependencies across multiple functional workstreams.
  • Track assignments, schedules, deliverables, staffing, risks, issues, and performance measures.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, functional leads, subcontractors, and corporate management.
  • Support staffing, transition, succession planning, knowledge transfer, and personnel continuity.
  • Monitor recurring deliverables and identify potential performance or schedule issues early.
  • Support management reporting, performance measurement, corrective actions, and issue resolution.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous process-improvement activities.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize workflows, reduce duplicative effort, improve reporting, and appropriately automate repetitive processes.
  • Support subcontractor integration and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate surge and special-project requirements.
  • Assume Project Manager responsibilities when designated or required.
  • Perform an additional management function if incorporated into the final staffing model.
