About The Position

The Deputy Manager, Depot Operations Centre supports the management and day-to-day operations of the Depot Operations Centre (DOC) for FIFA World Cup 2026™ transport services in Kansas City. Working under the direction of the Manager, this role assists in overseeing real-time fleet coordination, dispatch operations, driver allocation, and communication between depot teams, staging areas, and the Transport Operations Centre (TOC). The Deputy Manager plays a key role in ensuring that depot operations are efficient, responsive, and aligned with operational plans, and acts as the operational lead during shifts or in the absence of the Manager.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of depot operations, dispatch coordination, and fleet management.
  • Familiarity with operations centres (DOC/TOC/BOC environments).
  • Ability to manage real-time operational changes in high-pressure settings.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and transport management systems.
  • Ability to supervise teams and support operational leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in transport operations, depot coordination, or dispatch environments.
  • Fluency in English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in large-scale event transport operations or fleet management preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Experience working in multi-stakeholder, fast-paced environments.
  • Multilingual or bilingual ability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily operations within the Depot Operations Centre (DOC).
  • Support the coordination of vehicle dispatch, driver assignments, and fleet deployment.
  • Monitor live transport operations and support adjustments to fleet movement based on demand or disruptions.
  • Maintain continuous communication with depot teams, dispatchers, staging areas, and the TOC.
  • Assist in ensuring alignment between depot operations and transport schedules across venues and routes.
  • Support the response to operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, staffing shortages, or route changes.
  • Supervise DOC staff including dispatchers and coordinators during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure accurate use of dispatch systems, fleet tracking tools, and communication platforms.
  • Support the preparation of operational reports, logs, and performance summaries.
  • Act as DOC lead during off-shift periods or in the absence of the Manager.
