About The Position

The Deputy Manager - Production (Paint Shop) will be responsible for monitoring the production schedule, ensuring performance targets are met, and identifying cost control and efficiency improvement opportunities within the paint shop. This role involves managing and improving Body Work Team (BWT) performance based on PQCDSM, anticipating and proactively addressing concerns in various stages of the paint process, and driving Quality Circle Representative Team (QCRT) forums for concern analysis. The position also requires ensuring shop floor safety, conducting safety audits, maintaining 5S standards, managing tools and equipment, and maintaining Overall Line Effectiveness (OLE) records. Additionally, the role involves shop floor management, manpower deployment and scheduling, and spare part procurement.

Requirements

Full Time - Bachelor of Engineering in Paint Technology
3-7 Years as Production Officer in Car Manufacturing Company

Responsibilities

Monitor the production schedule according to set targets.
Ensure achievement of measures of Performance (MOP) targets using PDCA approach.
Identify ways to control cost and increase the efficiency of Paint shop production.
Monitor and improve BWT (Body Work Team) performance with respect to PQCDSM.
Anticipate concerns in PT, CED, underbody spray, sealer line, sanding, primer, base coat, top coat, oven, spot repair & wax line and take proactive measures to achieve quick stabilization.
Drive QCRT forums for concern analysis.
Ensure safety on the shop floor and take part in safety related internal/external audits.
Conduct JH & Maintain 3S as per standards.
Tools & equipment Management.
Maintain OLE (Overall Line Effectiveness) records, restore minor stoppages & breakdown quickly by taking ICA (Immediate Corrective Action) and PCA (Permanent Corrective Action) to minimize/eliminate recurrence.
Shop Floor Management.
Manpower deployment & scheduling.
Spare part procurement.
