This role involves monitoring the production schedule, ensuring performance targets are met using the PDCA approach, and identifying cost control and efficiency improvement opportunities within the Paint shop. The Deputy Manager will also focus on improving Body Work Team (BWT) performance based on PQCDSM metrics, anticipating and proactively addressing concerns across various stages of the paint process (PT, CED, underbody spray, sealer line, sanding, primer, base coat, top coat, oven, spot repair & wax line) to ensure quick stabilization. The position requires driving Quality Circle Representative Team (QCRT) forums for concern analysis, ensuring shop floor safety, participating in safety audits, conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JH), and maintaining 5S standards. Additionally, responsibilities include tools and equipment management, maintaining Overall Line Effectiveness (OLE) records, and implementing Immediate Corrective Actions (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA) to minimize stoppages and breakdowns. Shop floor management, manpower deployment and scheduling, and spare part procurement are also key aspects of this role.
