About The Position

Under the supervision of the director of juvenile services/probate court administrator with direct oversight by the juvenile register, this role is responsible for setting up and processing new court files, reviewing and filing petitions and other documents, entering case information into the computer, reviewing case files for court action, processing court orders and other documents, noticing division matters for hearing, and performing other tasks related to maintaining and processing juvenile division records.

Requirements

  • High School graduation or its equivalent
  • One year of experience in an office or legal environment
  • Experience in word processing
  • Experience in office procedures
  • Experience in public relations
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Pass a state/national criminal history check
  • Pass a DBS central registry check
  • Pass professional references check
  • Must be certified or have the ability to become certified as an Electronic Court Recorder by the Michigan Supreme Court within one (1) year of employment
  • Will be required to complete annual training as scheduled by the court and the County of Monroe
